Insulation of slats

Internal isolation of the slats made of expanded polystyrene to improve the acoustic insulation of the roof. The isolation leads to a reduction of the sound energy generated by the impact of rain on the slats of 70%, with a notable improvement in the acoustic comfort of the environment under the pergola. Results of a test carried out in controlled conditions that simulate a support of great intensity in structure of 800x500 cm. The microphone has been placed 50 cm below the bottom plane of the slats.
